Verified Reviewer |Billing issues - seriously bad process
- Feb 2026: daily collection texts; Medicare billed and denied; they will rebill insurer; do not use The Little Clinic.
Received treatment in July 2024. Thought they would correctly bill my insurance carrier.
I started receiving daily texts from their collection agency in February 2026. After many phone calls, I found they billed Medicare (which is not my insurance) and were denied payment. This week I was able to get my insurance carrier to call The Little Clinic, and The Little Clinic has no explanation for why they billed Medicare. No one at The Little Clinic is taking responsibility for the error, but they have agreed to correctly rebill my insurance carrier.
Meanwhile, I have a collection agency on my very perfect financial payments record. Do not use The Little Clinic for any services.
- Bad billing - errors resulting in their using a collection agency to threaten
Preferred solution: Apology

Verified Reviewer |Poor medical knowledge, fraudulent charges, and zero customer service
- Walk-in on 10/29/25; there was a 40-minute wait.
- Two prescriptions I’d been on had tiny amounts.
- Billed for services not performed; BBB complaint filed.
Would give zero if I could. Walk-in without an appointment 10/29/25.
Took the provider 40 minutes despite there being no other patients. She gave me two prescriptions that I'd already been on. I let her know that the quantities had been so tiny that they didn't resolve the issue before running out. She told me she had no way of knowing the quantity that she was prescribing so, if it was the tiny amounts again, to "just go to your PCP." So then...why am I here?
An hour later when I picked them up, they were indeed the same tiny amounts, so I had to turn right around and go to an urgent treatment center and pay the copay there, as well.
When I got the bill, it was for more than my insurance said it would be at this provider. So I jumped on their site. It's absolutely awful - most of the buttons don't even work, or lead you to literally blank screens. Except, of course, the bill.
I looked up the ICD codes and they tried to charge me for things they DID NOT EVEN DO. They also had an ICD code charging me for telling me to go to my PCP. What a freaking joke!
I finally found a contact form on their website and reached out. Never heard anything.
So on 12/17/2025 I submitted a BBB complaint.
It took them over a month to reply - that they wanted the complaint closed because they were going to reach out to me personally to resolve the issue.
Here we are another month later and I received an illegally inflated bill for services they didn't perform, and they've literally never once communicated with me except to send me these incorrect bills. They don't even have a Customer Service email address - presumably because they have no concept of customer service, as you can see from my experience.
- Poor medical knowledge
- Fraudulent billing
- No customer service
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Avoid this place at all costs! The provider doesn't know what they're doing, they'll bill you for things they didn't do (or for things like...telling you to go to your PCP), and then never respond.

- A 19-year-old with cough and sore throat was refused care without an ID.
- Staff said they are not urgent care and would not see him without an ID.
I made an appointment for my 19-year-old who has been sick since last Wednesday. He has a cough, headache, sore throat, and trouble breathing, probably upper respiratory.
He forgot his ID, which is just a temporary license. The nurse said they wouldn’t see him without an ID. I said my 23-year-old was at Canal 2 weeks ago and they used mine, as insurance in my husband’s name anyway. My son, who was feeling like crap and I made go, was irate and said when I die we’ll just sue you, and she said, 'No, you won’t because we are not an urgent care and we don’t have to take you.' I went to this little clinic because 2 weeks ago when I took my 23-year-old, the doctor was very rude to him and said, 'You’ve been sick for a month and didn’t go to the ER?' Not everyone can afford the ER; I thought that was the purpose of your clinic.
I will no longer be going to or taking my kids there because you hire the rudest people I’ve ever met in my life. Obviously, if I could get them set up with a regular doctor, I wouldn’t be coming there anyway, but I can’t find anyone near us taking new patients. I’m guessing you are getting these employees because they are bottom rung and they can’t get a job in a regular physician’s office because of their terrible attitudes.
So if I bring someone in and offer to pay for them but they don’t have an ID, you won’t see them. This makes no sense.
- Easy to make appts
- Rude staff
Preferred solution: Nicer staff for other future customers, with a little understanding and not so cold hearted.

Poor Customer Service
- Disappointed with not being seen for a suspected double ear infection.
- Staff were unhelpful and unwelcoming.
- I won't seek care there again.
This was a disappointing experience. I have a double ear ache/infection (assumed because no one would see me to confirm) and am in a lot of discomfort.
The person I spoke with was more than ready to tell me why I could not be seen today but was clearly not motivated to help me rectify the reason I was not being seen. This is not the first time I have experienced this unwelcoming behavior from The Little Clinic staff from different locations and from this particular practitioner. When people are not feeling well isnt that the time to have patience with your patient? I understand this profession can be trying and people can be difficult when ill or when insurance issues arise.
However, we willingly make a choice to get up and go to work in our respective professions.
If your choice is healthcare maybe at least pretend to care about your patients health care needs. I wont be seeking the assistance of The Little Clinic as this has become an all too familiar rhetoric but wanted to provide feedback so someone else may not have such underwhelming experiences there.
Thank you for your time.

Verified Reviewer |No experience on doctoring at all
- First visit: listened through clothes; rescue inhaler ordered.
- Second visit: listened through a shirt; diagnosed infection; antibiotic shot and meds.
I tried the little clinic for the first time. I had a lot of crackles and wheezing throughout my lungs.
The doctor listened to my lungs through two layers of clothes and a jacket. She couldn't hear any wheezing. She did nothing but order a rescue inhaler. The next day, I was having problems with my breathing.
I went to the Hutch walk-in care. The doctor listened to my lungs through only a shirt. He diagnosed me with a serious lung infection. He administered an antibiotic shot and prescribed two other medications.
The doctor at the little clinic needs to care a little more for patients. You can do better than this!

Poor service
- Receptionist checked in the wrong person, delaying my appointment; I waited, wasn’t tested for flu or strep, and was told symptoms wouldn’t be treated.
The receptionist accidentally checked someone else into my time slot which pushed my appointment time back 30 more minutes. The medical assistant told the physician my symptoms then came out to tell me since Ive had these symptoms for 2 days they more than likely wouldnt treat me and I should go home and self medicate.
I wasted over an hour for nothing.
Didnt get tested to rule out the flu or strep throat. Find a better clinic!!

- Tried to schedule an appointment for my son, then cancelled.
- They did not accept his insurance and demanded $35 more than quoted.
Tried to schedule an appointment for my son. Ended up cancelling after we got there.
They did not accept his insurance for that appointment in a text message from the little clinic they gave me an out of pocket price.
Once we arrived they wanted an additional $35 beyond what I was already told the charge would be. This place is nothing but a waste of time if you really need help with something find another place.
User's recommendation: Don't waste your time with this place.

- Front desk staff rude.
- They don't address by name and left license and insurance on ledge.
- Appointment started late; I canceled and went to a pharmacy.
The women at the front desk is extremely rude and unprofessional. She does address people by their names, she doesnt call them by name when she calls th back she says hey you can follow me, she has an attitude when asking for insurance information and everything.
She didnt even hand me back my license and insurance card just laid it out on the ledge for everyone to see my information. My appointment was for 9 am and i got there 10 mins before and checked in and wasnt seen by 910am i asked her to cancel my appointment and she just " yep".
Needless to say i will never visit a little clinic again and i am a kroger employee. I told her to cancel my appointment and walked 15ft to the pharmacy and got my vaccine within mins and left.
User's recommendation: don't go to the little clinic use a real urgent care

- The nurse practitioner was rude and unprofessional, charged for TB forms, and disputed which forms were required, mentioning lawsuits.
The Nurse Practitioner providing the service was very rude, unprofessional and in my opinion should not be in customer service. She presented herself as if she was doing me a courtesy by completing the needed documents for TB testing.
She stated to fill out the forms will be an additional charge and I should be thankful The Little Clinic only charged 20.00. Her statement was Pt First charges over 100.00. I told her I had been here previously and was asking her if she had the generic form for the Report of the TB screening which I knew accompanied the assessment tool. Initially she told me they only had one for Pediatrics or children and not adults.
I searched for the form on my phone showed it to her and she said very nastily, I have done this 1000 times and there is no other form. She went on to say that's why this company has been sued so many times and the reason they were closing basically was because of people not knowing what they are doing or talking about. I got her to fill out the Pediatric form, left and went to the Health Department up the street where they stated they indeed require both forms. I went home to get my copies for my employers and took them back to her to ensure I was getting what I needed for my files.
I was polite never raised my voice and just repeatedly said ok to her while she bickered about why she didnt like this location. She referred to me as a know it all. She is not in control of her emotions and actions, and Im afraid she chose the wrong profession. I informed her that I was also a nurse and have been one for 34 years and was familiar with TB testing, screening and forms.
If I had been the actual compliance officer or someone placed there to assess the service of The Little Clinic, this day your company would have received very poor ratings. She should know next time, I may not be just a nurse but a nurse employed by VDH surveying how the Little Clinic treats paying customers or someone from her corporate office.
User's recommendation: Although I’ve used this company and never had an issue, I would say never let someone abuse or direspect

- 6:00 pm appointment; I arrived early.
- Nurse asked for a card; my mil ID is the insurance, and the appointment was canceled for missing card.
I want to file a complaint against whoever was working at the Kroger Little Clinic desk at the one on New Byhalia Rd in Collierville, TN! I had an appointment at 6:00 pm which I showed up early and with my pre check in completed.
When talking to the nurse at the desk she asked for my ID and insurance card. My insurance card is my military ID since I have insurance through Tricare. There is no other card which I stated to the nurse. She proceeded to barely look at it, send out a text message, and proceeded to ask me for my insurance card.
I informed her once again that my insurance card is my military ID and that I am already in the system and completed the precheck in which showed my insurance information in there. She said she needed the physical card despite my attempts to inform her my military ID is the card. She proceeded to say that they cannot go through with my appointment because I was missing my insurance card and cancelled my appointment. This is completely unacceptable.
This has never happened to me once at the Little Clinic. I would think that she would be properly trained at her job.
This now shows I shouldve never entrusted my care at this clinic and I will be relaying that to all of my family and friends who also have Tricare. This is just about the worst service I couldve ever gotten on top of being sick!
- Quick to get into
- Will get turned away for their ignorance
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE TRICARE! They will turn you away just because of their ignorance!!

Verified Reviewer |It's a scam.charge me up front "full price" then sent me a bill
- Receptionist was nice; insurance not accepted; visit $99.
- Ear exam was painful; antibiotic prescribed; $50 charge afterward unclear.
I went in for a severe ear infection I needed a doc note for work. The receptionist was very nice and helpful only good point of the trip didn't accept my insurance which was fine said the office visit is 99$ ok fine paid that.
Then I see doc who shoves the instrument in my ear after telling her how tender it was and painful. She tries again a little less forceful saids yep it's def red in there prescribes me antibiotic and sends me on my way. Then I get a bill for another 50$...why?
Was it for stabbing me in the head with the medical instrument or for sending my prescription 5ft to the pharmacy? I don't know either bc that's the only other things that were done after I paid for the visit

Verified Reviewer |Not informed on Cigna Premier Medicare was no longer accepted
- No upfront notice Cigna Premier Medicare wasn't accepted.
- Billed $327 for covid/flu shots; card didn't show Health Springs; clinic not responsible.
I should have been informed initially that my Cigna Premier Medicare
insurance was no longer accepted. It had been in the past.
I ended up being billed for $327 for a covid and flu shot.
Little Clinic later informed me it was because my card did not have "Health
Springs" on it. Well that hasn't been on cards for 3 years now. The fact
that the card had Cigna Premier Medicare (HMO-POS) plus my age of
74 on the Little Clinic form should have alerted. Little Clinic's response
was they are not responsible for insurance coverage, and it was up to me to determine.
Well maybe but had been covered 100% at Kroger
clinic for years.
That and other medical service places always checked
and informed me on my coverage prior to any treatment.
Had I been alerted on this up front I could have just gone to CVS for
both shots and been 100% covered.
The place of service was at the Kroger Clinic on Main St. Hendersonville, TN.
- Service on getting the shots was very good
- Did not alert on no longer accepted covered insurance plans

I received a $375 bill. After numerous phone calls to the rude personnel at The Little clinic billing number, and calling all three of my insurance companies.
I finally get a call 3 weeks after I was promised to call from another route individual whose number showed up on my phone as spam which I'm sure she would have preferred I not answer her name is Sonia Willis. She's the regional clinic lead. She proceeded to lecture me that it was my responsibility to know who my insurance is with. Does The Little clinic fill prescriptions because that was the first thing I said to the girl.
I had been at Walgreens they have the decency to tell me I should go to where I have my prescriptions filled if I wanted the charge to be covered by insurance. I repeated those exact words at the little clinic. She had the nerve to say I'll write it off this time but next time it's your responsibility to know who does and doesn't cover your charges.
She then proceeded to tell me that's what she does for herself personally blah blah blah. Worst encounter ever to get a simple vaccination.
User's recommendation: Do not use the little clinic.

“So if I bring someone in and offer to pay for them....”. If you were willing to pay out-of-pocket, no insurance, they should have seen him without an ID.
On a side note, your son needs to learn to not run his mouth. I’d have called the police.
